Fifth Generation Cobra Mustangs 2005 - Present
Quite possibly the most popular and welcomed Mustang in the history of the car, 2005 saw the introduction of the newest and most radical changed mustang in years. It also brought back a friend that Ford Mustang Enthusiasts had missed since the early days, Carroll Shelby and the Shelby GT500 Mustang!
Built at the Flat Rock Michigan facility, the GT500 limited run of 10,000 cars per year began in 2006 and has continued through the past several years. A collaborative project between fords own SVT program and Carroll Shelby, the cars came out with a very high price tag and no problem at all moving them from the showroom floor and into the waiting hands of consumers.
