In 1966, Ford brought the Shelby Mustang back with a vengeance and entered into a partnership with Hertz, to develop the GT350H (H for Hertz) in a special run of high performance rental cars, which have now become a hot commodity in the world of collector cars!

In total, there were 2,380 Mustang Shelby GT350's produced in 1966. Of those, roughly 1000 (Some report 1004) were created with the H modification for Hertz Rent a Racer program.

Like the 1965 Shelby GT350, the 1966 version of the popular car was fitted with a 289 cubic inch high performance engine and proved to appeal to everyone who wanted a combination of new style and speed!
